Acme Tools is celebrating their 75th anniversary with 4 days of tool deals of the day.
Today’s deals feature Milwaukee, Dewalt, Crescent, and Rolair specials, plus a couple dozen more special buys.
7/24/23 Tool Deals of the Day
Milwaukee M12 Fuel Oscillating Multi-Tool Kit – $159

The M12 Fuel OMT kit is currently a special buy at Home Depot for $179, and so this deal saves you another $20. This tool offers a great balance between size (and weight) and performance. It has a tool-free blade change and brushless motor. This kit is bundled with a compact HO (high output) 2.5Ah battery, charger, and case.
Dewalt ToughSystem 2.0 XL Tool Box – $59
This is a fantastic price for the largest ToughSystem 2.0 tool box. It’s a great for anyone looking to add to their modular tool storage setup, and also anyone looking for just a large capacity tool box. It has a 110 lb load capacity, IP65 waterproof rating, metal latches, and removable inner tray.
Crescent 150pc Tool Set – $75
I’m not a fan of entry-level tool sets like this, but it could be a good bargain if you are.
Rolair 1 HP Ultra-Quiet 2.5 Gallon Air Compressor – $289

It features an oil-less pump and can deliver up to 2.4 CFM at 90 PSI. The noise level is said to be 60 dB. I had a good experience with Rolair when I reviewed this model’s predecessor. They;ve changed a couple of things since then, such as the position and angle of the pressure gauges.
ToolGuyd Coupon
Code TOOLGUYD saves you $10 on orders $79+. It seems to work on all of the promo items. The code is good for one use per customer and resets 30 days after use.

The Crescent tool set is even cheaper on amazon – https://www.amazon.com/Crescent-Drive-Point-Metric-Professional/dp/B08KHT5LM5/
Stuart
That’s sold and shipped by a 3rd party seller, but it does look like Amazon is matching the price directly.

Amazon seems to be matching the price ($289) on the Rolair compressor

That’s sold by and shipped from Acme Tools on Amazon.

That’s a great little compressor too. Very quiet as well.

I use Packout for organization but for tool boxes I use Dewalt. To me Dewalt ToughSystem tool boxes are sturdier, remain moisture tight, and are always cheaper than Milwaukee’s boxes. I know my Packout organizers won’t click onto a Dewalt but that hasn’t been a big problem.
With Acme’s sale you can buy a Dewalt XL tool box for $59 or you can go to Amazon and pay $146 for the same size box from Milwaukee. And then you get the ToolGuyd $10 off.
Thanks for the heads up Stuart. I ordered a few more.

(The Milwaukee Packout XL tool box is $119 at Home Depot.)
I use Packout primarily, but have also been purchasing certain ToughSystem products for other storage needs too.

Anyone have any experience with that IQ dry tile saw? The wet saw I have now is extremely loud and I’d prefer dry if possible. Not sure if $500 is a good deal…

“Dewalt ToughSytstem 2.0 XL Tool Box”
I think you mean ToughSystem

Hi Stewart,
I appreciate your site and the vibrant community in the comments.
I wanted to point out that Acme Tools doesn’t stack your TOOLGUYD coupon with other promotional deals. I placed a big Makita XGT order back in May when they were offering an extra 4Ah battery with the purchase of two bare tools. When I used the TOOLGUYD coupon (worth $10) at checkout, I was apparently notified that the promotional item (a 4Ah battery worth $100-$200) would be removed from my cart. I missed that warning, so the fault is mine, but I encourage others to double check their cart after using coupons on the Acme Tools site.
As an aside, I’ve been meaning to write a longer comment about why the Makita XGT line made sense to me. In short, I was starting from scratch with powertools. I wanted a lawnmower, string trimmer, and chainsaw, so I was attracted to the higher voltage platforms. I also wanted a tracksaw and Makita has a good reputation. In the end, I’ve purchased a mix of XGT and Hilti Nuron tools (rotary hammer, jigsaw and soon an OMT).
I live in Bermuda, so the cost of shipping tools to and from the island makes warranty returns uneconomical. My hope is that the tools will be reliable.
Stuart
Sorry – Acme Tools’ promo codes rarely stack on top of “free with purchase” codes. It’s almost always one or the other. Their cart system is usually good about alerting customers about this.

How is this deal not garnering attention?
https://www.acmetools.com/flex-24v-1-2-in-2-speed-hammer-drill-with-turbo-mode-kit-fx1271t-2b/840163200073.html
Flex’s flagship hammer drill with turbo mode, anti-kickback, 1400 in-lbs. of torque, comes with hard case, fast charger, a 2.5 ah battery and 5.0 ah battery for $99! I’ve already pre-ordered several just because that’s ridiculous value!
